    About Crassula Ovata 'Hobbit'

Crassula Ovata 'Hobbit' belongs to the Crassulaceae family. It has "twins," namely Crassula Ovata 'Gollum' and Crassula Ovata 'Skinny Fingers,' each slightly different in leaf morphology. The name 'Hobbit' originates from the resemblance of its leaves to the hands of the fictional characters in "The Lord of the Rings" series, wide and only slightly curved at the base. Its waxy green leaves with red margins add to its unique charm, forming a plant of distinct allure.

How to care for Crassula Ovata 'Hobbit'

Sun/Temperature: Crassula Ovata 'Hobbit' thrive in warm environments and are not frost-tolerant. They can grow well in partial shade, with the ideal temperature ranging from 60-75 ℉. If grown outdoors, protect them from freezing temperatures in winter and provide partial shade during hot summer days to prevent leaf sunburn.

Soil/Watering: Crassula Ovata 'Hobbit' prefers well-draining and aerated soil. It's recommended to use sandy or succulent-specific soil to ensure adequate root respiration and prevent waterlogging. While they tolerate dry conditions, overwatering can lead to root rot. Therefore, employing the soak and dry watering method is advisable.

Fertilizer: Regular fertilization can promote robust growth in Crassula Ovata 'Hobbit'. Apply diluted liquid fertilizer monthly during spring and autumn.

Pot: Choose a well-ventilated pot with drainage holes at the bottom to allow excess water to drain out efficiently, avoiding prolonged root soaking. Opt for simple, solid-colored pots to complement its vibrant colors.

Ventilation: Good airflow helps reduce the occurrence of pests and diseases and promotes healthy plant growth. When growing Crassula Ovata 'Hobbit' indoors, especially during summer, ensure adequate air circulation.

Propagation: Propagation of Crassula Ovata 'Hobbit' primarily consists of stem cuttings. The method involves taking healthy and plump top stem cuttings, allowing them to air dry for approximately 3 to 5 days, and then inserting them into the soil after the wounds have dried.

    a solid choice
I realized I don't need to drill 5mm holes, so this item is just perfect. It's higher quality than those other cheap-chinese noname jigs. In particular: * The stop collar provided actually fits the drill bit. I had one from Tanyo that had too-big collars that didn't stay put. * The fence pins are very soilid, so the jig doesn't move while in place. Other brands have a long knurled screw that wobbles and allows the kiig to move around. * The plate is thick, making it feel sturdy. * It's phyically smaller than the others, because it doesn't have any useless features like euro-hinge hole guides. The case is more compact and stores well. Overall, very satisfied with this jig.

    very nice tool
likes, all aluminum construction, seems very accurate and uses more sturdy 1/4 inch shelf pins instead of the 5mm ones comes with 2 bits which is a huge plus the competition makes you buy the 1/4 drill and only is set up for 5mm to start. this jig will work along side, for now, my other jig dislike is the fact it only has 1/4 pin capability not a deal killer in any way, and it has "pins" to support the jig on the edge again this is both an advantage and disadvantage as you can change the depth of where the pins are located BUT if you are making something smaller the jig may not calibrate consistently. on another positive you can replace the bits easily and commonly as they are not proprietary and simply standard 1/4 inch bits this will be a fine addition to my other goingmake tools and future ones

    Sturdy and well made
I have yet to use this jig, but on initial inspection it is well made and no doubt will withstand a lot of use. The machining of the threads was rough on the one I received, but after screwing in the guides a couple times the operation became smoother. Probably lack of cleanup after anodizing left in the threads. Other than that it looks like it will be useful and longer lasting than many of the plastic jigs out there.
