Alyssum is best direct sown in your garden, but you can sow them in pots early and transplant in spring. In spring after your last frost, work enriched garden soil down 6" and just sprinkle in your garden. These seeds are somewhat small so we mix screened peat or sand prior to sowing to ensure even coverage. Cover with a very light dusting of peat as they need light to germinate. Once Alyssum flower production has slowed cut your plants down by 1/2 and they will re-flush a new set of flowers.
