This plant, a member of the Crassulaceae family, thrives in rocky outcrops and stony hills, making it an excellent choice for rock gardens and container displays. Named after Johann A. Heuffel, a Hungarian botanist, it showcases the intricate beauty of its namesake deity, Aphrodite.

The rosettes of Jovibarba heuffelii 'Aphrodite' range from 5 to 10 cm in diameter, forming tightly clustered, waxy leaves with a slight sheen. These rigid leaves may exhibit shades of green or hints of red under stress, adding visual interest. In mid-summer to autumn, the plant produces yellow, bell-shaped flowers with six petals, offering a delicate contrast to its bold foliage.

This plant prefers well-drained, gritty soil enriched with lime and thrives in bright, filtered light. While it tolerates drought, it benefits from moderate watering during its growing season, allowing the soil to dry between waterings.
