  •  The Ctenanthe burle-marxii 'Amagris' is a sophisticated and compact member of the Marantaceae family. Known for its striking geometric patterns and "active" foliage, this plant is a living piece of art that adds a calm, silvery aesthetic to any indoor jungle.

    The parent species is native to the tropical rainforests of Brazil, where it grows under the dense canopy.

    While it rarely blooms indoors, it can produce small, insignificant white or yellow flowers nestled among bracts. However, this plant is grown almost exclusively for its spectacular foliage.

  • Prefers bright, indirect light. Direct sun will fade the delicate silvery patterns and burn the leaves. Low light may slow growth significantly.

    Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Use filtered or distilled water if possible, as they are sensitive to fluoride in tap water.

    Requires a well-draining, aerated potting mix. A blend of potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark is ideal.

    Thrives in warm environments between 18°C and 27°C. They dislike sudden temperature drops or cold drafts.

  • Best suited for outdoor growth in zones 10-11. Elsewhere, it is strictly an indoor plant.

Does it's purpose with style
We used these in our pantry and dining room for shelves and they turned out well. The only reason they are hard to install is because of the design (which is very nice) so it is worth it. It just takes time when you you are hanging the shelves, to do it correctly. While they can hold a lot, we realized that a bunch of cans or jars cannot go on these shelves. Luckily we had another option for heavy items (Example: We had about 40ish pounds of cans/jars on a 1x12 board that is 33 inches long with 2 of these brackets...and it was too much). If you do not need to hold a lot of weight, these shelves are a for sure, for the price and quality. If you NEED they for something heavy, then you probably will have to go with something more practical from a hardware store. We LOVE them for our pantry!
