This 100% Native Wildflower Seed mixture has been specially selected to establish a native wildflower meadow on soils that remain damp year round and may experience some flooding such as a bog garden or a pond edge. The annual species included will bring a burst of colour in the first year, while the perennials will begin to bloom from year two and return year after year.
Wet and moisture retentive soils support only particular wildflower species which thrive in damp areas. Other wildflower species found more commonly in well drained soils would not grow in wet areas due to soil composition and fertility levels.
This wetland wildflower seed mix is designed to take advantage of soils with damp attributes and provide a long-lasting, flower rich display to thrive and colonise in damp areas.
Unique and uncommon Irish native wildflowers such as Ragged Robin, Goats beard and Saw wort are just to name a few of the wonderful wildflower species included in this wildflower mixture.
For best results, sow onto prepared, weed-free bare soil. Read our guide to preparing ground for wildflower seeds before you sow.
This mix contains wildflower seed only, no meadow grasses or other seeds are included.
