The dragon tree, Dracaena surculosa Florida Beauty, is a decorative houseplant with an upright growth habit, reaching up to 100 cm in height. Its evergreen, spotted, and striped lanceolate leaves give it an elegant appearance. From January to December, it surprises with fragrant white flowers that create a special ambiance.

The ideal location for this plant is sunny to partially shaded. In summer, it thrives at 20 to 25 °C, while it tolerates winter temperatures between 15 and 18 °C well. For optimal growth, the dragon tree requires well-drained, humus-rich soil and moderate watering.

Care tip: The substrate's high permeability is essential, as waterlogging can quickly lead to rot. When temperatures stay above 5 °C, you can place it outdoors in the garden—ideally in a semi-shaded spot without direct sun to avoid leaf damage (watch out for sunburn). An occasional shower with lukewarm water removes dust from the leaves and refreshes the plant.
