In this film, a battle-hardened Godzilla and Godzilla Junior must confront Destoroyah, a monstrous adversary born from the aftermath of the Oxygen Destroyer, the underwater weapon first introduced in the original 1954 Godzilla film. Over the course of 41 years, the effects of the Oxygen Destroyer give rise to Destoroyah, culminating in an apocalyptic showdown that tests the limits of both Godzilla and his offspring.
