I use it when performing coarse shaping of bonsai, refining and perfecting their appearance. Unlike branch or root cutters, its narrow tip allows force to transmit efficiently, making it easy to cut through tough sections. This precision facilitates pinpoint accuracy in my work. While it can also be used for vertically splitting trunks and thick branches, I'm yet to explore this application. I look forward to encountering such challenging specimens to experiment with this technique.
