Each leaf measures about 1 to 2 inches long and 0.5 to 1 inch wide. Crassula ovata is a medium-sized plant that typically grows to be around 1 to 3 feet tall and 1 to 2 feet wide. The stems turn a dull gray color with maturity and thicken to form bark like skin. Crassula ovata blooms in late winter to early spring with large inflorescences of tiny white or pink star shaped flowers. This species is grown as an ornamental plant for its ability to thrive from lack of care and its beautiful anatomy.
