Wildflower establishment requires some important steps:

Site selection/preparation: It's important to address competition from weeds: pull, till, or use organic herbicides. If planting in the spring/summer you can wait for weeds to germinate, control and then plant the wildflower seeds.
Seeding:  You will want to have good seed to soil contact, broadcasting by hand is a good approach on small plot, may want to mix with an inert carrier, sand or other. Raking in and covering with soil 2-3 times seed thickness.
Watering: During establishment for the first month, can be from rain in spring or supplement with irrigation.
Timing: The best time to plant is in spring to early summer and even again in late fall.

Just buy it, get it, live happily ever after with it--you won't regret it. *****UPDATE***** 12/22/25 - I've had this Blanket for almost a year..It's just as soft & beautiful as the day I got it! It has NEVER shed so I don't understand reviews stating it does? When washing these Blankets DO NOT USE WARMTH OF ANY KIND! Washer OR Drier!! The fabric is very delicate so heat will ruin it--even the slightest. Wash on COLD only, and only use AIR drier settings (fluff), NO HEAT FOLKS! It takes about 4 or 5 times to Dry on air only but it is worth the extra time when it comes out perfect. One more thing, NEVER- EVER- EVERRR USE FABRIC SOFTNER. It is wax which will coat all those Beautifully soft fibers and ruin them for good. If you follow these pretty easy suggestions your blankets will stay as awesome as the day you got 'em. I hope this helps. OH.. & GET THE BLANKET!!!!

We couldn’t tell if he preferred the floor—or the blanket. So I tried something: I put the throw on his bed. And just like that… he started sleeping in his bed. Apparently, this blanket is the key to sleep training. If you’re looking for something soft, durable, and genuinely cozy, this is already a great buy. But if you happen to have a toddler resisting bedtime… this might just be your secret weapon too.

So far so good. It was a little sheddy at first but then I washed it and it was fine. It is super soft even after being washed twice. Several people have commented on how soft it is and stated they thought it was a Minky couture. I washed it on gentle cycle in cold water and dried it on gentle low tumble dry. It does not seem to be shedding now. I washed it a second time and put vinegar in the rinse cycle because supposedly that is supposed to help bind the fibers or something. Still seems to be not shedding. It's probably the softest blanket I have every owned. When I wash it, I will continue to wash it on gentle in cold water and dry on either gentle low tumble dry r just air fluff. I read the heat good make the fibers loose and cause more shedding. If anything changes, I will update.
