If you do want to have a go at growing your own olives, place the olive tree in your garden, balcony or patio in spring and summer so it can get full sun. These trees also need a night time drop in temperature to spur on the blooming. Fertilize bi-weekly in spring and monthly in winter when you move the tree back inside. Are you keeping notes? It's a lot for a handful of olives but don't say we didn't warn ya!
