BENEFITS

The front plate has been designed to avoid the usual furrows that wheels leave behind and that may compromise the transplanting process. To operate Curly’s Planter 1 PRO successfully, it is also necessary to slightly lift the planter while pulling.

Two triangular openings have been designed to allow any excess soil from your tray to fall through, thus avoiding blocking the feed of paper chain pots.

Its flat design (with no step and tongue in the middle of the planter like other models) requires Curly’s Planter 1 PRO to be used with our Open-ended plastic trays. This simple yet effective design significantly reduces the amount of seedlings falling on the side before transplanting.

Back adjustable feet cover the furrow created by the planter optimally without the need of pressing wheels.

• Adjustable top handle bar

This feature allows you to move your handle side to side for comfort when pulling from the side of the bed.

• Drip tape laying capacity

The particular design of the Curly’s Planter 1 PRO allows lying irrigation drip tape at the same time as transplanting. The drip tape lays buried under your transplanted seedlings and can be easily pulled out and reused once the crop has been harvested. To use this feature, a drip tape holding bracket that attaches to the main handle bar can be purchased separately.

• Interchangeable cutting tips (spike and boat nose)

Depending on your soil conditions (moisture, soil type, green manure or fineness of soil), these 2 tips offer different solutions to different problems. Whilst the spike tip is the best general all-rounder, the boat nose is much harder to get clogged up if there is excess of organic matter or slightly moist soil. However, the boat nose has an inclination to push the planter up. For this reason, we recommend the use of 2 bricks as extra weight, which can be placed in the back 2 channels to hold it down and run smoothly.

• Adjustable planting depth (30, 60, 90 mm)

The height adjustment on the back of our planter is a world-first proprietary system which allows you to transplant your seedlings with a very accurate depth control. This is done by removing the bolt and wing nut out of the back of the planter, moving it to the desired depth and replacing the bolts again.
