The base of each leaf stalk--approximately the bottom 5 inches--is where the flavor hides in this citrusy herb. Remove the leafy top and woody bottom, strip the tough outer layers, and you'll discover the delicious white inner stalk. Chop or mince and add it to Asian-inspired curries, stir fries, and marinades. Use the discarded lemongrass bits to infuse tea, broth, or soup with citrus flavor. Feels good, smells not so good.

My favorite lavender hand cream doubled in price, so I looked for an alternative and settled on this one. JR Watkins is a well-established name with a reputation for quality. The cream is nice, but I'm not fond of the scent. There are many different kinds of lavender, and this one is not my favorite.
