The History of This Tree:
This tree was part of a hedge at another nursery back in 1996. This is one of the first trees that Jason collected. Out of about thirty trees in that hedge, this is the final one that we have left in the nursery. Boxthorn (Severina buxifolia) is uncommon for bonsai but it has a wonderful citrus scent, tiny white flowers, and beautiful black fruit. All of them are nicely proportioned for bonsai. This tree has been wired, rewired, changed, and adjusted throughout the decades and is one of the oldest trees in the nursery.
