Espoma Rose-tone is the fertilizer that we use in our own gardens at home, which gives us the confidence to offer it to you. We think it's the perfect all-purpose fertilizer for woody plants, and especially flowering shrubs. The stony, long-lasting grains are easy to apply evenly and provide sustained nutrients during the growing season.
In most cases, plants don't strictly require fertilizer, but you'll find that they grow more rapidly and bloom better if you apply a quality fertilizer according to the rate recommended on the package. Reblooming shrubs, like lilacs, azaleas, and hydrangeas, especially benefit from being fertilized in early spring, then again around their first bloom of the season.
Bonus: this fertilizer is made in the US using solar power! Espoma Rose-Tone is an organic granular fertilizer that is applied directly to, or incorporated in, the soil.
