Pacific Crabapple is a wild species of apple native to the pacific northwest. It makes small but abundant tart fruits that can be canned whole, or made into jelly or cider. It has showy pink/white flowers in the spring that pollinators love, and has ornamental value in the bronze fruit clusters in late summer and colourful foliage in fall. The bark becomes rough and ridged with age.

Because this species is both drought and wet tolerant, it's becoming a popular rootstock for challenging sites. It will even grow in standing water! It's also disease-resistant.

Birds love the fruit, and because the trees often have pointy spines, they make a safe roosting spot for birds at night.

This is an important tree for Indigenous peoples on the west coast. One way people stored them for winter is to store the unripe green apples in bentwood cedar boxes filled with water in a cool place. Over time the fruits soften and develop and aroma like cotton candy. They are still widely used today.

I believe the trees I harvested from were planted and stewarded by the Indigenous groups of the area (K'ómoks, Kwalikum, and/or Snaw-naw-as peoples). The beautiful old trees grow along a river, and in one stretch they are in a perfectly straight line. There are many other Indigenous food plants in the area, such as silverweed, rose, and black hawthorn, which seems to me like an intentional food forest.

50% of sales from this variety go to Sovereign Seeds, an Indigenous-led initiative dedicated to the revitalization of Indigenous seed and food sovereignty in so-called Canada.

Nice shirt!
Color: Black, Size: Large
When I lost weight and hit my goal I wanted to purchase new clothing. I discovered Coofandy on Amazon and could not be happier. This line of clothing is great. I have purchased a handful of shirts and shorts and liked all of them. This shirt fits well, I tried a medium initially and it was a bit too small so I moved up to a Large. Prior to my weight loss I was always an X-large. Shirt looks nice and fits great. I have this shirt in 3 colors now.

Great shirt, a bit large in arms
Color: A - Moon Gray, Size: Medium
I really like the cut and texture of the shirt. The only thing I would say is it is loose in the arms unless you’re a body builder. My arms are toned, muscular, but more lean than thick, so if you like a snug sleeve this is probably not for you. I’m 5’9” 180bs for reference and wear a medium.

Check the size chart and reviews!
Color: Black, Size: 3X-Large, Color: Black, Size: 3X-Large
Bought this for my husband and if i didnt check the reviews I would ordered it too small. He normally wears a XL in T-shirts but he has very large arms so the 3XL in this fits him comfortably. The material is a bit stretchy so he could have probably taken the 2XL but I am satisfied with how the 3XL looks on him. He looks so good!

Size discrepancy
Color: Wine Red, Size: Small
I like the look and feel of this shirt, but I originally bought a medium and it was too big, so I bought a small. Both shirts are the exact same size. It is labeled on the collar as a different size, but it's the same. If anything the small is slightly larger
