Sweet Pea - Saltwater Taffy Swirls (Heirloom) - Lathyrus odoratus

Annual - These charming novelty sweet peas will delight flower lovers with their unusual patterned blossoms. Each large flower is uniquely "flaked," showing finely rippled veins of color that swirl throughout the pastel background of the petals. We've blended a mix of delectable color tints so you'll have blue, maroon, chocolate, burnt orange, crimson red and rich purple swirled flowers all from the same packet. A handful of these long blooming, intricately marked blooms makes delightful softly-scented centerpiece bouquets.

Soil & Water:Sweet peas must have well-drained soil, so dig deeply and enrich with aged manure or compost before sowing seeds. Water well and mulch as vines grow.

Planting & Growing:Sow seeds in full sun in cool early spring weather (as early as the ground can be worked). In mild winter climates, where the ground does not freeze, sweet peas can be planted in the fall. Erect a well-anchored trellis, fence, or vertical netting for these climbing vines before planting seeds. Seedlings will form strong root systems, then overwinter to bloom vigorously in the spring. Plant seeds 1" deep and 2 - 3" apart. When seedlings are 2" tall, thin to 4-5" apart to allow plants room to mature. Sweet peas bloom best before the weather gets too hot. Where summer heat comes on fast, they'll appreciate a spot with afternoon shade. Anchor supports well as vies will grow heavy with bloom. Protect seedlings from birds, slugs, and snails. For longest bloom, pick flowers often and keep faded blossoms cut.

Do not leave it in a warm environment, like hot car or pants pockets, it will get very soft. If it does get soft, i just dab it on ranther than rolling/wiping on. Also its best to roll it down when not in use, but not necessary. I used to be addicted to Vaseline products for my lips and this is far superior in many ways.

For Summer time and when playing and working in the sun, this is my go to sunscreen! I love how it is more natural than all the other ones out there. I have been sort of a spray on sunscreen connoisseur and this is the one that is my favorite. Also, if I have gotten a burn and put this on it, I believe it helps start the healing process on the burn I got. This is at least what I experienced multiple times last year. The only circumstance that this sunscreen fails miserably is in the Caribbean. I recently went on a cruise to that region and applied this sunscreen and it became evident that this and the other brands of spray on sunscreen do not work in Caribbean sun. The only sunscreen that works is the lotion based stuff that you rub into your skin. I have also consulted with friends on spray on sunscreen in the Caribbean and they all fail as well. So, this is why I say that it works in almost every circumstance.
