Epipremnum amplissimum Variegata

An upgrade to regular Silver Streak Pothos (Epipremnum amplissimum), this selection boasts variegated foliage but otherwise grows similarly. And like Silver Streak Pothos, its leaves get larger and more eye-catching as it climbs if you give it a spot with warm temperatures and plenty of light. Because of the variegation on the leaves, it is a bit of a slower grower than its cousin.

Variegated Epipremnum amplissimum grows best in bright light (we recommend keeping it within about 3 feet of an unobstructed east- or west-facing window) but tolerates medium and lower-lit spots. It grows as well in natural light as it does artificial light, so feel free to augment with or grow it under grow lights.

Caring for this plant is refreshingly simple thanks to its Wick & Grow self-watering system. Just replenish the reservoir as needed, being careful not to overfill past the top of the window at the base of the pot. This system helps prevent overwatering, a common issue for many houseplants. If you don’t want to use the self-watering system, simply pull the blue-and-white Waterwick out from the pot and water it traditionally.

This low-maintenance climber is perfectly happy with average household temperatures and humidity. However, like many tropical plants, it enjoys more humidity than less. Consider placing it near other plants for a humidity boost.
