The rosemary plant that actually belongs next to your grill.

Barbeque Rosemary is a specific variety selected for one defining characteristic — thick, rigid, woody stems strong enough to use directly as cooking skewers on the grill. Strip the lower needles, sharpen the tip, thread your ingredients, and grill. The stem seasons your food with deep resinous rosemary flavor from the inside out as it cooks. No separate marinade needed.

The needle-like leaves are denser and more intensely aromatic than standard rosemary, making this the preferred culinary variety for grilling, roasting, and slow cooking. Roasted potatoes. Focaccia. Compound butter. Herb oils. Braised lamb. Grilled chicken. Cocktails. Barbeque Rosemary handles all of it with more flavor than any grocery store rosemary.

You receive two large actively growing plants, each 3" to 8" tall in a 4" pot, grown in our Midwest greenhouses and shipped directly to your door. Non-GMO, grown without neonicotinoids, safe for your family and your food from the first harvest.

  • Two Large Live Barbeque Rosemary Plants — Premium herb plants 3" to 8" tall in 4" pots, actively growing and ready to transplant. Two plants per order for an immediately productive herb garden.
  • Strong Rigid Stems for BBQ Skewers — Thicker and woodier than standard rosemary, strong enough to use as natural cooking skewers. Strip the lower leaves, sharpen the tip, and thread shrimp, chicken, lamb, vegetables, or bread. The stem seasons your food with deep rosemary flavor from the inside out.
  • Intensely Flavored Needle Leaves — Denser and more aromatic than common rosemary. Use fresh or dried for grilled meats, roasted potatoes, focaccia, herb butter, compound oils, marinades, soups, stews, and cocktails.
  • Intensely Fragrant — Rich pine-herb resinous fragrance fills the air on warm days. Outstanding beside a grill, near a kitchen door, or in a patio container. Flowers attract bees and pollinators when in bloom.
  • Non-GMO, No Neonicotinoids — Grown without these chemicals. Harvest and eat directly from the plant with complete confidence. Safe for your family, your food, and your garden's pollinators.
  • Thrives in Containers, Raised Beds, and Garden Borders — Full sun, well-draining soil, drought tolerant once established. One of the lowest-maintenance culinary herbs available.
  • Perennial in Zones 7–10 — Returns each year in Zones 7 through 10, growing larger and more productive every season. In Zones 6 and colder, grow as a productive annual outdoors spring through fall, or bring indoors to a sunny window for year-round harvest.
  • Season-Long Harvest Starting Week One — Snip stems as needed from the moment the plant is established. The plant branches and produces more growth in response to regular harvesting. A mature plant yields dozens of skewer-length stems per season.
  • 10x Root Development — Robust root systems that establish faster and handle transplanting better, giving you a stronger more productive plant from the first week.
  • Grown in the Midwest, Shipped with Care — All plants grown in our USA greenhouses, managed from seed to your doorstep. Ships in our exclusive eco-friendly 100% recyclable protective box with our copyrighted Quick Start Planting Guide included.
  • Third Generation Family-Owned Small Business — Growing and shipping live plants since 1957. Every plant backed by our 100% satisfaction guarantee.

What Makes Barbeque Rosemary Different

Most rosemary varieties produce soft flexible stems suitable for stripping leaves but not for holding weight on a grill. Barbeque Rosemary develops substantially thicker and woodier stems — firm enough to thread shrimp, chicken cubes, lamb, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, halloumi, and bread without bending over heat. The essential oil concentration in the needle-like leaves is also noticeably higher than in standard varieties. You will smell the difference the moment you brush the plant. You will taste it in everything you cook.

How to Grow Barbeque Rosemary

Plant in full sun — at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily — in well-draining soil. Water deeply but allow the soil to dry between waterings. Rosemary is drought tolerant and far more likely to be harmed by overwatering than underwatering. In containers use a well-draining potting mix and ensure drainage holes. Space plants 18 to 24 inches apart in the garden. Feed monthly with a balanced fertilizer through the growing season.

In Zones 7 through 10, Barbeque Rosemary overwinters outdoors and grows into a substantial shrub over multiple seasons. In colder zones bring containers indoors before first frost and place in your sunniest window.

How to Harvest and Use Barbeque Rosemary

Begin harvesting as soon as the plant shows new growth after transplanting, typically within two weeks. Always cut just above a leaf node and never remove more than one third of the plant at one time. Regular harvesting encourages branching and more stem production throughout the season.

  • For BBQ skewers: Select mature stems at least 8 to 12 inches long. Strip the lower two thirds of the needles and cut the bare end at an angle to create a point. Soak in water 20 minutes before grilling over direct high heat. Thread ingredients tightly and grill as normal.
  • For fresh culinary use: Strip leaves from the stem and chop finely, or lay whole stems in a roasting pan under meat or vegetables. Fresh rosemary is approximately three times more potent than dried — adjust quantities accordingly.
  • For drying: Bundle 6 to 8 stems and hang upside down in a warm dry location with good airflow. Dried in 2 to 3 weeks. Store stripped leaves in an airtight jar away from direct light for up to 18 months.

Common Questions About Barbeque Rosemary

Can I really use the stems as skewers? Yes — this is what specifically distinguishes Barbeque Rosemary from standard rosemary. Select your most mature stems, strip the lower needles, and use exactly as you would a wooden skewer. The flavor transfer to the food is real and significant.

How soon can I harvest after planting? Begin light harvesting within two weeks of transplanting once the plant shows new growth. For skewer-quality stems allow one full growing season to develop the stem thickness needed.

How is this different from grocery store rosemary? Grocery store rosemary is almost always a generic variety selected for shelf life rather than flavor or stem strength. Barbeque Rosemary is selected specifically for culinary performance — stronger flavor, more aromatic, structurally different stems.

Will it come back next year? In Zones 7 through 10 it is a perennial and returns each year growing larger every season. In Zones 6 and below treat as an annual outdoors and either replace yearly or bring containers indoors for winter.

Can I grow it indoors? Yes, in a very sunny south or west-facing window. A grow light supplement helps significantly through winter months in northern zones.

Can I grow it in a container on my balcony or patio? Yes. Use a large pot with drainage holes and well-draining potting mix. Place in the sunniest spot available and water when the top inch of soil is dry.

Nice Interior Cleaner / No Residue and No Shine
Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Style: Fresh
Most people knock Chemical Guys and it appears a rather basic , not boutique, car care line. This is one hit in the line and actually comes in at least three versions based upon the scent left after use. This one is a baby powder scent that does not linger too long nor to heavy. The cleaning power is light with no streaks. It dries quickly and does not appear to leave any markings. A light spritz on doors, dash, and interior parts and a quick wipe with MF. You could use a dampen towel also. It leaves behind no shine or dressing afterwards which is wonderful for those wanting a fresh like new appearance without the shine or goopy sticky mess.

Very nice look and perfect "sheen"..
Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Style: Fresh
I've been an avid detailer for 30 years. And I do love the chemicals aspect of it. I've tried many products, and the vast majority of them aren't very good. Mind you, I was starting out detailing back in the 80's, when you had a VERY limited amount of products to rely on (And yes, I remember the very first days of Armor-All when it would CRACK your dash.. Those days are, of course, long gone. But I have been a big fan of Chemical Guy's products, and have written many reviews on here about their other products. This Total Interior, I have to say, has met or exceeded my expectations. Tip and note: Always wear nitrile type gloves whenever using any chemicals for detailing, repair, etc A garage isn't complete without nitrile gloves and an air compressor.. Enough on that. First off, they say you can use it on glass, and this would replace a lot of other cleaners and protectants, I'm not sure I would use anything to clean glass other than Invisible Glass. I've tried them all, and to me, Invisible Glass is my go-to and ONLY glass cleaner. Secondly, this DOES have a UV protectant in it, which of course, led me to purchase this. I've said on here before that if you are going to take the time to detail, and make the effort, you should not waste your time with products (Especially interior products) that don't protect the interior from UV damage.. The sun is a killer on leather and plastic.. (And paint, over time).. So if you're going to use any products on your interior make sure they have UV protectants. Thirdly, they say you can use this on Leather. I for one, after working with it, probably wouldn't use it on my leather, I prefer some other products for that, and yes, don't bother using ANY leather treatment unless it has a UV protectant in it, or at least follow it up with something that DOES have a UV protectant. I personally wouldn't use this on my leather. I would use Chemical Guys' Sprayable Leather Cleaner and Conditioner (no UV protectant), and then follow it with Klasse Interior as the Klasse has a UV protectant. The Klasse is also a water based formula (The original was oil based) and it also helps to tighten the leather a bit too.. Those two in combination make a nice look. What's nice about this Total Interior Cleaner Protectant (TICP) is the way it goes on. You want to use a fairly deep piled Microfiber cloth to apply it. Pre wet the cloth with distilled water in a spray bottle. Spray the TICP generously on the interior doors and plastics. It works especially well cleaning off your armrests and control modules for windows, door locks. I would generously spray it on the door panels and work it in, but I would not spray it directly on my speaker grills or into the control buttons, you want to work around that. For those areas, after you do the general door panels, or interior, and then come back and spray on your towel, and then hit the specific areas. For the front dash, and the LCD screen, I sprayed onto my pre moistened towel, worked it in nicely, then I quickly grabbed another microfiber towel that didn't have a "pile" on it. Almost like those microfiber dishtowels. The reason why is when you go for that quick buff (And just a quick buff, that's all you need) you can and will create some static.. And when you create that static you'll break off peach fuzz off a piled microfiber cloth and it may stick due to the static. So use a microfiber towel with no pile on it and quickly buff it, you don't need much, this product is "hot" and dries fairly quickly, a couple swipes, that's it. I did get the baby oil scent, and it's reminiscent of that, but not too strong or overdone. A nice fragrance. It comes in a couple other scents. The final look is very nice, it's not a shine or a heavy sheen, it's in between the OEM flat look (When you first purchase a new car) and a light satin. Just enough sheen to spruce up the interior, but not like a basted turkey that looks greasy or oily. Just right.

    works great except on windows
Size: 32 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Style: Fresh
I bought this to clean everything (dash, door trim and jambs, custom floor mats, infotainment system, center console, windows) but my leather seats and it cleans well and dries quickly without leaving behind that sticky and unnatural shine which is what I prefer. if you like everything having that “wet” look, this isn’t the product for you. my one complaint is that it absolutely does not leave a steak free finish on windows which is fine as I should probably own stock in Sprayway at this point. I was just hoping to carry one less cleaning product but this eliminated 2 so I count that as a win.

Chemical Guys Total Interior Cleaner & Protectant 16oz
Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Style: Fresh
A True All-in-One Interior Cleaner That Delivers The Chemical Guys Total Interior Cleaner & Protectant has quickly become one of my favorite detailing products. If you’re like me and want one product that can handle multiple surfaces inside your car, this is about as close to perfect as it gets. It’s versatile, effective, and safe to use on just about everything, which makes it a huge time-saver compared to juggling several specialized cleaners. What stands out most is the versatility. I’ve used this on my dashboard, touchscreen, center console, door panels, leather seats, steering wheel, and even glass with excellent results. It wipes away dust, light dirt, fingerprints, and smudges with ease, and it doesn’t leave behind streaks or any sticky residue. The finish is clean and natural—there’s no over-the-top greasy shine, just a subtle, refreshed look that makes the whole interior feel new again. Another highlight is the built-in UV protection. Living in a sunny area, I’ve seen dashboards and plastics fade or crack over time. Knowing this cleaner has UV blockers gives me peace of mind that I’m not just cleaning but also protecting the surfaces from long-term damage. That’s a major plus that many other interior cleaners don’t provide in one step. The scent is another nice touch. It has a fresh, light smell that makes the car feel clean without being overpowering or artificial. Some cleaners leave behind strong chemical odors, but this one is subtle enough that it doesn’t clash with air fresheners or linger too heavily after use. Application is simple. Spray it directly on the surface or onto a microfiber cloth, wipe, and you’re done. It doesn’t streak screens or glass, which honestly surprised me the first time I used it—I expected at least some hazing, but it left my infotainment screen spotless. It’s also gentle enough that I don’t worry about damaging sensitive areas like electronics or leather. In terms of performance, I can’t really find any negatives. For deep stains or heavily neglected interiors, you might need more specialized products, but as a general maintenance cleaner, this is exactly what I want. It keeps the whole car interior looking clean and well-maintained without having to carry around a shelf full of different sprays. Overall, the Chemical Guys Total Interior Cleaner & Protectant is a must-have for anyone serious about keeping their car in great condition. It’s versatile, easy to use, smells pleasant, and adds UV protection on top of cleaning power. I’d recommend it to anyone—from casual car owners who just want a quick wipe-down solution to enthusiasts who detail regularly. For me, this is a solid 5-star product—an all-in-one solution that lives up to its promise and makes interior detailing faster and easier.

    Worth it.
Size: 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Style: Fresh
Love this products. Regret not getting this sooner or even the kit. But super good, and actually smells pretty good no harsh chemical smell. Removed any stained I had with such easy. Which made application easy, just spray on microfiber towel and wipe away. A little expensive but again my fault for not going with the kit.
