Pothos is a perfect way for first-time plant parents to begin their houseplant journey or for seasoned green thumbs to add more lush greenery to their verdant interiors. No matter one’s experience, these vibrant beauties will breathe life into any home décor. Pothos are easy to love and among the easiest houseplants to grow, with their heart- or lance-shaped, pointed green leaves trailing from stems.  Pothos can be planted pretty much any time of year indoors. Whether on a bookshelf, plant stand, hanging perch or elsewhere, give your new pothos vines some space to spread. Pothos can be pruned to achieve a bushier plant. They are fairly fast growers, with variegated forms growing more slowly. Pothos enjoy and will look their most vibrant in bright, indirect light, yet they can thrive in low light spots too. Avoid direct sunlight, which burns or scars the foliage.

Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Pothos prefer temps between 60 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. They appreciate higher humidity but do well in drier climes too. You can mimic the humidity of their native habitat by misting or keeping them in rooms that have higher humidity, such as the kitchen or a bathroom.
