The fresh leaves are valued as seasoning in the cuisines of South and Southeast Asia. The oil can be extracted and used to make scented soaps and is used as an insect repellant.

Plant comes in a standard 1 gallon nursery pot with a house made high-end soil blend of peat, worm castings, organic composted yard waste and perlite mixed with top grade local soil.
