Pure Trophy Clover Planting Tips
- Pure Trophy Clover can be planted in either the Spring or late summer/early Fall. It is also a great blend for frost seeding.
- Pure Trophy Clover prefers a heavier loam or light clay soil, but does well in most any soil with proper moisture.
- Pure Trophy Clover can be planted in a variety of areas from full sun to shade. Works great on trails.
- Condition the soil with a plow, disk, or similar equipment to prepare a good seed bed as early as possible so weeds have a chance to begin growing. Allow the field to green up then spray with Round Up two weeks before planting.
- When ready to plant, loosen up the seed bed surface with a drag or chain link fence to further prep the soil. Do not till too deep, tilling deep will only bring more weed seeds to the surface.
- Soil should be fertile with a pH of 6.5 to 7.5. If you are not sure of your soils fertility or pH, have your soil tested. Your local farm co-op or fertilizer dealer can usually help with this. *A good fertilizer recommendation is 200-300lbs of 8-24-24 *Apply either pelletized lime or ag lime if needed.
- Broadcast or drill at 8-10lbs/acre 8. After seeding you can drag the seed bed, but do not cover the seed with more than 1⁄4 inch of top soil.
- Important Use a cultipacker, roller, or even your ATV tires to pack the field to insure good seed/soil contact. You do not need to worry about covering the seed. If the seed is planted too deep, it will not grow.
- Wait for rain! As with all plantings, the sooner it rains the better so watch your weather forecast and try to plant before a reasonable chance of rain.

Weed Control Tips
Weed control is probably the biggest problem that food plotters face and it is always easiest and least expensive to start with a weed free seed bed using glyphosate (Roundup). Begin soil preparation in the Fall or as early in the Spring as possible. Spray emerging vegetation 2 weeks before planting your Clover.
When planting in the Spring it is always to your advantage to begin tilling and controlling weeds the previous Fall. Late summer and early Fall plantings offer advantages over planting in the Spring and typically have a higher success rate.
- Additional time for soil prep and increased ability to eliminate weeds prior to planting.
- Plant areas that may be too soft or have difficulty accessing earlier in the year.
- Your new plot will green up quickly in the Spring and get ahead of most weeds.
When planting in the Fall, try planting an annual cover crop such as oats, wheat, or rye to provide protection for the young plants and additional forage for your deer.
Mowing is an effective way of controlling both grasses and broadleaf weeds. On a new planting, set your mower at a high level to cut the weeds but leave most of the clover. On established plot cut the entire field to a height of about 6”.

Fae Courts with High Intrigue
Format: Kindle
This book is one that just builds and builds and then surprises you to no end. You may think you know the villains and then you are jolted in another direction. Princess Reyna is a real gem, strong of character, a fierce fighter, and loyal to her family and kingdom. Just when you think she and Lorcan, well you know, the plot is flipped. Can't wait to see where this goes in book two.

Slow, sorry but good
Format: Kindle
This was a slow moving book. Lots of character pov chapters, lots of superfluous descriptions and endless courtly appearances stalled this book to start. Once you get into the heart of the story, it takes off. Before you know it the book is done. My favorite character is Reyna. She is so strong. She is true to herself. She gets into a lot of trouble with her headstrong ways but it's entertaining. I have high hopes for Lorcan. He is honorable to a fault. Thane had turned out to be better than I thought but i still don't like him. Eislin is useless. Great plot twists at the end. I'm looking forward too book 2.

Very detailed! Beautiful world building! Strong Heroine!

Starts off a little slow and confusing with different POV’s, but starts to all come together towards the middle to make an elaborate plot line and makes it all worth it. Beautiful world building and attention to detail as well as great writing. The cliffhanger was gut wrenching! Can’t wait for the next book!

Interesting

This was a very captivating book once you got into it thoroughly. But the third person perspective was a bit hard to get used to. But as you got into it and followed the different characters, it was interesting and filled with intrigue, conflict and forbidden love.
I can’t wait to read the next one and to complete the series.

OBSESSED with this start to the series + incredible narration!

📖 I have always been a why choose lover and this is def going to be a new fav series, I can tell already! I absolutely LOVE Abby’s writing! Joey is such a great FMC — she is strong, but has a past that has pain, making her a complex and layered character with some mystery. The guys are amazing as well — they are all different and react in such varying ways to Joey showing up on the scene! If you are going in expecting a full on dark romance with kidnapping vibes, this is not it. This is definitely a romance with darker themes, but these guys treat their girl well, though they may be misguided at times (cough, Decker, cough 🤣). One of my absolute fav things about this book is the incredible representation — two of the guys deal with chronic pain (RA + lupus), another is on the spectrum, and Joey has anxiety that can lead to panic attacks and more severe issues. As someone who deals with chronic pain (an autoimmune arthritis in the RA family) I love to see characters like me in books! I have no doubt by the end of the series I am going to love all the guys equally, but right now I am falling HARD for Kylian (who doesn’t love stats daddy?!) and Locke is firmly in second place. Decker and Kendrick have some work to do, but I’m sure this is all according to Abby’s master plan. And wowwww that cliffy was a painful one! I’ll be starting book 2 in T-minus 3 seconds!
🎧 This audio was phenomenal! All three narrators did an incredible job — the casting was absolutely on point!! June deBorahae narrated the majority of the book as most is from Joey’s POV and she was magnificent. Her transition from narrator internal voice to dialogue was always very clear, as were her transitions in dialogue between all characters which was an impressive feat with the number of characters she had going on. She truly blew me away as Joey though. The emotion she showed was incredible — going from tough and ready to go head to head with anyone, to exceedingly compassionate and kind, to anxious and sucked into memories of the past.
Vincent Skye voiced Decker, Locke, and Kylian and did a great job with all of them. Each was voiced in a way that was fitting for their character and personality. I especially love the way he portrayed Kylian.
And last but not least, Ace Bentley narrated the part of Kendrick to perfection. His portrayal was so fitting for his tough and grumpy ways. While Kendrick only had one POV chapter in this book, Abby tells me we can expect more from Ace as Kendrick in the next one!!
