Caring for a String of Pearls (Senecio rowleyanus) is relatively straightforward. Here are basic care instructions to keep this unique succulent healthy and vibrant:

Light: Provide bright, indirect sunlight for your String of Pearls. It thrives in moderate, indirect light. Ensure it receives ample natural light, but shield it from direct, intense sunlight, which can scorch the delicate leaves. A south or west-facing window with filtered light is ideal.

Temperature: Maintain a warm indoor environment with temperatures between 70-80°F (21-27°C). Protect the plant from cold drafts and temperature fluctuations.

Watering: Allow the soil to dry out partially between waterings. Water sparingly, but thoroughly, and avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot. During the growing season (spring and summer), water more frequently, and reduce watering in the dormant season (fall and winter).

Soil: Use well-draining cactus or succulent potting mix to ensure proper drainage and prevent waterlogged soil. A mix of potting soil, perlite, and sand is suitable.

Pot: Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent water accumulation at the root level. String of Pearls prefers slightly crowded conditions and does not require frequent repotting.

Fertilization: Feed your plant lightly with a balanced, water-soluble succulent fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Avoid over-fertilizing, as this can harm the plant.

Pests: String of Pearls is generally pest-resistant, but occasional mealybugs or aphids may appear. Inspect your plant regularly and treat any infestations promptly with insecticidal soap or neem oil.

Delivered as pictured and described. I was a bit concerned because of the super low price, thinking maybe it was a discontinued model due to problems but we've had good experiences with Belkin products so I went with this one... When facing it plugged into the outlet, the cord does lean right as advertised. Length is also correct. True white, not an almond color, so it looks nice with white outlet and carpet where visible. The switch is effectively placed on the end where the cord comes out so it's harder to accidentally switch off. Also it lights up on top to indicate green for protected or red for not grounded. Also designed for a phone line on the opposite end but we haven't had use for that where we are using this surge protector. Will update this review should we utilize that feature or have any issues.
