Sansevieria 'Star Canary' is one of the most cheerful cultivars of the classic snake plant, with upright, sword-shaped leaves edged in broad bands of bright canary yellow against deep green centres. The contrast is crisp and architectural, bringing a sculptural lift to any room. As with other snake plants, 'Star Canary' is remarkably tolerant of low light, irregular watering, and the occasional drought, making it an ideal pick for a bright corner, office desk, or hallway. It is slow-growing, clump-forming, and very forgiving of beginner mistakes.

Origins

Sansevieria (now classified as Dracaena) trifasciata is native to the rocky, semi-arid regions of tropical West Africa, where it grows in dry shade and full sun alike on shallow, free-draining soils. 'Star Canary' is a cultivated selection prized for its bright yellow variegation.
