Developed from more than three decades of breeding and research, it was created to help manage emerging turf challenges such as gray leaf spot while preserving the toughness and reliability associated with earlier Titan varieties.
Titan GLX Turf-Type Tall Fescue delivers the appearance of a premium lawn with the toughness needed for everyday use. This advanced Titan variety produces rich green, dense, medium-fine turf that creates a clean, professional-looking lawn while standing up to foot traffic, pets, children, play areas, and active outdoor spaces.
Built for performance in challenging conditions, Titan GLX offers excellent resistance to summer stress and is well-suited for regions that experience heat, humidity, and seasonal turf pressure. Its improved brown patch resistance is especially valuable because brown patch is one of the most damaging diseases affecting tall fescue during warm, humid weather. Titan GLX also provides improved resistance to gray leaf spot, Typhula blight, Pythium blight, pink snow mold, and red thread.
Titan GLX is also versatile in a variety of lawn environments. It adapts well to sunny and partially shaded areas, making it a practical option for residential lawns, commercial landscapes, athletic fields, and turf blends. For most lawn applications, Titan GLX is best maintained at a 3–4 inch mowing height, though turf trials have shown it can tolerate close cutting as low as 1.5 inches when properly managed.
