Fenugreek Seeds grow into a highly versatile heirloom herb prized for both its leafy greens and aromatic seeds. Also known as methi, fenugreek has long been grown for culinary use, traditional herbal preparations, and practical self-reliant gardening. This easy-to-grow legume fits well into small gardens, raised beds, containers, or even microgreen trays.

Plants produce tender green leaves that can be harvested young for cooking, followed by small white flowers and seed pods containing sweet, maple-scented seeds. Fenugreek is fast growing, beginner friendly, and rewarding for gardeners who want a plant that offers multiple harvest options from a single sowing.

Dual-Purpose Culinary Herb:

  • Harvest young leaves as flavorful cooking greens
  • Collect mature seeds for spices, curries, and seasoning blends
  • Distinctive aroma with a naturally sweet, maple-like scent

Easy to Grow and Adaptable:

  • Quick to sprout and simple to maintain
  • Suitable for garden beds, containers, and indoor growing
  • Performs well in small spaces and succession plantings

Why Gardeners Love Fenugreek:

  • Offers both greens and seeds from one plant
  • Useful for cooking, traditional uses, and seed saving
  • Beginner friendly and fast growing
  • Supports sustainable, self-reliant gardening practices

How to Grow Fenugreek:
Direct sow seeds outdoors after the danger of frost has passed, or grow indoors year-round for greens. Plant in full sun to partial shade with well-drained soil. Harvest leaves as needed once plants are established. Allow plants to fully mature and dry on the stalk to collect seeds for storage or replanting.

Capsules Are Too Large and Have a Strong Plastic Smell
Size: 90 Count (Pack of 1)
I’ve purchased this product twice, but the capsule design is a big downside for me. The capsules are very large and difficult to swallow. On top of that, there is a noticeable plastic-like smell from the capsules, which is quite distracting and unpleasant. It makes taking them every day uncomfortable. The product itself may work as intended, but the capsule size and odor seriously affect the overall experience. I wish they would improve the capsule material or offer a smaller or odor-free option. If you are sensitive to smells or have trouble swallowing large capsules, keep this in mind before buying.

....limited information about how the average person...
Format: Kindle
Coverage of the earliest period does (of necessity through lack of records?) encompass rather a lot of conjecture and assumptions. There's certainly a good coverage of the period - but it can become rather dry as it cycles through successive rulers. There's limited information about how the average person lived during the time covered. Tended to skim past extended descriptions of fairy tales of ancient beliefs and convictions. The book occasionally reverts to mentions of much later personalities (such as Freud) and comparing them to characters of ancient China!

Not worth the paper it’s printed on.
Format: Paperback
I can’t say that I was expecting such a slim volume on 10,000 years of Chinese culture to be a work of rigorous scholarship, but I also wasn’t expecting it to be quite *this* dreadful. It is badly written to the point of being unreadable, and it is clear that no one thought to edit the document before publication. I made it about twenty pages in before I had to put it down. The entire thing reads like an Anthropology 101 term paper written by a first semester college freshman who hasn’t quite figured out how to back up claims with evidence yet.
