Unlike the velvet-surfaced pendant species, A. vittariifolium carries a smooth, semi-glossy to glossy leaf surface — leathery, firm, and deep green, with a prominently raised midrib running the full length of each leaf. An elevated or hanging position is not merely preferred but functionally necessary — the leaves must hang freely to develop to their full length.

• Light: Medium to bright indirect light; more adaptable across a light range than velvet pendant species. Avoid direct harsh sun which damages the glossy leaf surface.
