Wildflower establishment requires some important steps:

- Site selection/preparation: It's important to address competition from weeds: pull, till, or use organic herbicides. If planting in the spring/summer you can wait for weeds to germinate, control and then plant the wildflower seeds.
- Seeding:  You will want to have good seed to soil contact, broadcasting by hand is a good approach on small plot, may want to mix with an inert carrier, sand or other. Raking in and covering with soil 2-3 times seed thickness.

- Watering: During establishment for the first month, can be from rain in spring or supplement with irrigation.

- Timing: The best time to plant is in spring to early summer and even again in late fall.

My dog has a habit of tearing up toys in just a few minutes, so far, this toy has lasted a few days, the rope is already showing signs of wear. I wish there was a way to attach a new rope when this one goes... She is a mid-sized dog with a LOT of energy, and she's very destructive, digging, chewing on things she's not supposed to, etc. This helps with that, she can play with it for a long time, we don't have to always 'check' to see if she is tearing something up. She loves grabbing it by the rope and swinging it around the sides of her head, it doesn't hurt her, and she LOVES this toy. Out of ALL of the toys that we have bought her, and that she loved, THIS ONE has been top dog to her. We love watching her play with it, it also wears her out and she'll then take a nap, which is always good. Oh yeah, the size if PERFECT for a mid-sized to a large dog, I'm not sure about any smaller dogs. She can squeak the squeaker on it fine too, but not at first, she had to 'find out' how to do it on her own. As far as chewing it into little pieces like one person has said, I can't attest to that, and I hope that is not the case. I will return if she does end up chewing it into pieces, because she in known far and wide for that! :)

My large adult dog who is an aggressive chewer got this toy in pieces within minutes, BUT this is a great toy for a lighter touched dog. When I got my newest addition (Malinois mix puppy. Pls thoughts and prayers for me), this toy came to mind because she loves chewing and she’s only 11 weeks old! But when she gets bigger, she will more than likely destroy this. She is almost 20lbs at 11 weeks right now, so I will update if she does destroy it. Long story short: Not good for large aggressive chewers, good for aggressive chewers on the smaller side (maybe 15-30lbs)
