The Iris Plant is a striking ornamental perennial known for its elegant, sword-shaped leaves and vibrant, ruffled blooms that appear in an array of colors—purple, blue, yellow, white, and even bi-colored varieties. Named after the Greek goddess of the rainbow, the Iris adds a dramatic flair to gardens with its showy flowers and graceful form.

Ideal for borders, water gardens, and decorative pots, Irises thrive in full sun and well-drained soil. 

🌿 Care Instructions

  • Light: Full sun to partial shade (at least 6 hours of sunlight daily).

  • Water: Moderate; water when the topsoil begins to dry out. Avoid waterlogging.

  • Soil: Well-drained, fertile soil enriched with compost.

  • Fertilizer: Use a balanced fertilizer during the growing season (spring to early summer).

  • Pruning: Remove spent flowers and yellowed leaves to promote new growth.

  • Propagation: Divide rhizomes every 2–3 years after flowering.

It’s a good width and pretty long to accommodate all body types. I like it can be two heights. My adult kids said it felt like memory foam. I can add my own pillow too to further adjust to my liking. I tried using it every night at first because I usually sleep with two large stacked pillows, but I’m a side sleeper and it eventually hurt my neck. So, not great if you sleep on your side. I also just lay a pillow case across it to keep clean. You can unzip and take off the cover for cleaning, but I almost never get stuff like that back on right. I got the dark gray cover and I like the soft feel. I’m glad I got it.
