Sansevierias are perfect low light survivors. This version of the Snake plant has tall thin leaves with a horizontal pattern of white and dark green. As a bonus, it needs very little water. Very tolerant of low light conditions, the Sansevieria can be used in a wide range of interior or exterior environments. This plant can survive in a 50 foot candle environment or be growth in full sun. The Sansevierias are very tough plants that should last a long time in an indoor environment. They need very little water, so only water when it is obvious the plants need water. The time-frame between waterings could easily be months.
