Your plant will come in LECA which are inert clay balls. They have been receiving all their nutrient needs exclusively through liquid fertilization. If you wish to maintain your plant in LECA, research how to grow in “semi-hydro”. However, most growers will want to transfer to an aroid mix such as 1/3 peat, 1/3 perlite, and 1/3 orchid bark or coco coir. When transplanting, the clay balls will fall away with minimal damage to roots.
