Will also grow fine in tubs or containers, but in colder regions the plants may then need shelter for the winter. The ‘Ellagance’ Series of Lavender is compact and flowers the first year. This selection produces grey-green leaves with spikes of deep violet-blue flowers. Prune lightly in early spring, no harder than 4 inches. Lavender MUST have good drainage in order to avoid root rot problems. Consider growing in a raised bed or rock garden. A seed-grown selection introduced by Kieft Seeds of the Netherlands. Winner of a European Fleuroselect Gold Medal (2006).

Ive tried a few different brands of biltong and made my own. I have to say that this wasn't my favorite. Believe me, i wanted to like it. The taste was sour and most of the bag was pulverized shreds. :( I did find that letting a bit airdry in a bowl made it a little more palatable, but honestly it'sjust sitting in my fridge still, where normally I'd have eaten the whole bag in a day or so. Also, some of the bites left a weird coating and nasty taste on my tongue, like baking soda or something, but definitely an off taste. I had my own beef jerky store for several years, so I'm a connoisseur, but no snob. -----update 8/13/2019------- I contacted customer service via the email on the bag and got a response. They sent me a new bag and here is the email I sent them back. Very happy now. ....The biltong showed up last Thursday! I'm sorry i kept forgetting to email you. It is delicious. It's night and day difference between the bag I got through Amazon originally. This bag was pristine and the taste is spot on. Every piece is a perfect slice, no shreds or fluff. Dark, rich brown color, not hay colored like the old bag. I really think that the other bag got very hot or something and out the taste off. Thank you so much. Now I know that if I am in the mood for biltong, Ayoba-yo is a good choice. Thanks for the customer service as well.....

I have been lucky to visit South Africa a few times in my life. What is not lucky is coming home to the United States and craving biltong.
