Herb Growing Tips

Light:  Full sun-lavenders are from the Mediterranean region and they LOVE sun - 6 to 8 hours is best. However, if you are in the Deep South or South West regions, a little afternoon shade works well.

Temperature:  Hardiness Zones 6-10

Watering:  although water is essential to any plant, please remember that lavenders are very sensitive to moisture and too much will bring on 'root rot'. When you are establishing your plants, water well but allow to dry between watering. Once established, lavenders will not require a lot of water.

Soil: This is the most important factor in success - your soil must be loose and drains well - you can always add a bit of sand or cactus soil to the mix but if you grab a handful of soil, squeeze it and it remains a tight ball, it's not going to drain!

Comments:  Good circulation is vital as lavenders cannot tolerate damp and humid conditions. They need a lot of room to grow and they need a lot of air moving around them to avoid excess moisture which will lead to rot.

Herb Description

We love 'Goodwin Creek Grey' for the combination of wonderful silver foliage and its deep blue flowers. Plus, the foliage is perfect for shaping into a topiary or border plant.

Sweetly fragrant, this lavender attracts bees and butterflies and hummingbirds so perfect in a perennial border. It is also extremely well suited for container growing both indoors or out.

The flowers work well in arrangements, and a great variety for drying.

While these toys boasted durability and were designed to alleviate boredom, my experience with them yielded mixed results. Upon receiving the chew toys, I appreciated their sturdy construction and the promise of durability, which was essential given my dogs' penchant for aggressive chewing. The variety of textures and shapes seemed promising, offering potential for engaging play sessions that could keep my pets occupied and mentally stimulated. Initially, my dogs showed some interest in the toys, eagerly sniffing and exploring them. They seemed intrigued by the different textures and shapes, and I was hopeful that these toys would provide the entertainment they needed. However, as my dogs began to interact more with the toys, it became evident that their interest was short-lived. While they engaged with the toys for brief periods, they quickly lost interest and returned to their usual chewing favorites. Despite their designation for aggressive chewers, the toys did not seem to withstand the intense chewing of my pets as well as expected. Within a short time, I noticed signs of wear and tear, with pieces starting to break off. While the SIHRMIU dog chew toys offered some stimulation and diversion for my dogs, they ultimately failed to hold their interest or stand up to their aggressive chewing habits. While they may be suitable for dogs with less voracious chewing tendencies, they were not a perfect fit for my pets. In conclusion, while these chew toys have potential and may work well for some dogs, they fell short of expectations for my aggressive chewers. I appreciate the effort put into their design and durability, but unfortunately, they did not meet the needs of my furry companions.
