Sometimes we just want an easy plant that we don’t need to worry about. Meet: The Dracaena Cintho! The Cintho is a fantastic beginner-friendly plant that doesn’t require a ton of upkeep or fussy conditions to be happy! The huge size gives you a good-sized plant, but with very dense foliage, making it great for corners, or areas with heavy foot traffic, but they’re also happy in a spot that lets them just fill the space.

Like all Dracaenas, the Cintho can be found growing in Africa, so it’s happiest in rooms with medium to low indirect light. In the best indoor conditions, this plant can grow to be about 3 feet tall and about 2 feet wide. The huge Cintho comes in a 17” wide plastic grow pot, making it the perfect size to fill any spot - from an empty corner to a busy common space. Similar to the other plants in the Dracaena genus, Cintho canes are considered toxic to animals – keep the leaves and sap out of reach of any curious pets.

After a short bit of activity, the toy goes into ‘sleep’ mode, until either the dog touches it again or a timer has elapsed, and then it fires up and starts buzzing and racing around the floor again. From a full charge, the toy will keep your dog entertained all day. Bright orange color makes it much easier to find when it’s rolled behind the toilet (as it did this afternoon). Sturdy. Highly resistant to chew damage. If this one wears out or breaks, I’ll absolutely get another one.

I bought this for my 80+ pound Goldendoodle, and he absolutely loved it at first. He barked at it, chased it, and it gave him some great exercise and stimulation. It definitely kept his attention and was fun to watch him play with it. Unfortunately, once he was able to get it in his mouth, he chewed the orange end off fairly quickly. The company does include an extra replacement piece, which is actually a great idea and appreciated. However, he ended up chewing that one up too after a few more play sessions. This toy worked well for short-term play and entertainment, but it’s not durable enough for large dogs with strong chewing habits. I think this would be much better suited for small to medium dogs.
