indoor plant that looks like banana tree Musa spp. 'Florida' (Variegated Banana Tree) – The Plant Lady SFThis plant has brought many collectors, hobbyists, and general plant enthusiasts to their knees. It is considered by many to be the most gorgeous variegated plant that there is, and I happen to agree. The leaves look impossibly beautiful, as though they were hand painted with emerald green, mint, and pure white. And even the fruit is variegated as well! This plant has brought many collectors, hobbyists, and general plant enthusiasts to their knees.  It is considered by many to be the most gorgeous variegated plant that there is, and I happen to agree. The leaves look impossibly beautiful, as though they were hand painted with emerald green, mint, and pure white.  And even the fruit is variegated as well!

To add to this plant's mystique, a ban on importing banana plants overseas went into place two years or so ago, which has decimated the supply and raised the demand. This plant, already considered beautiful and rare, now has a cult-like following, and the price reflects this.

Due to the import ban, our shop needed to find these plants domestically. We searched for about a year and are so so so so so excited to finally have expertly grown variegated musa to offer you today.

From our grower:

'These plants are currently acclimated to 70% humidity. They’re not finicky once they are at this size. They are watered every few days. Don’t let the medium dry out and don’t let water sit on the leaves.  We feed these every watering with a balanced fertilizer (20-20-20).'

This plant is considered a lowland tropical plant.  Once established it is possible to grow it outside in warmer parts of the Bay Area under a light shade cloth. Otherwise we highly recommend growing this plant indoors in a sunny window or under Sol Tech grow light.

My personal experience is that these happily adjust to regular household humidity after a period of adjustment where you may experience some browning of the leaves.  New leaves will grow that are better suited for your environment. Again this is my personal experience and results may vary. Many of our customers have had wonderful success transferring their bananas to Pon, however we do not recommend repotting your banana for at least 3 weeks after it arrives

Amazing but one problem
Format: Kindle
I LOVE this book but the one problem is that there are curse words. I'm 12 and I'm aware that Stuart Gibbs curses but I feel like in this particular book he cursed a lot more than he usually does but other than that I absolutely LOVED reading this I will get the whole series for sure! If you already have read this whole series and want to read more I highly recommend spy school ( all of them there are I believe 13 of them) and space case.

Fun for Kids of All Ages
Format: Paperback
Belly Up is a hit with my 8-year-old son, and even my 14-year-old can’t get enough of it! The story is funny, adventurous, and full of clever twists that appeal to both younger and older readers. It’s perfect for kids who love animals, mystery, and humor — a book that keeps everyone hooked from start to finish.

LOVE book...but a few swear words....
Format: Paperback
I LOVE this book! I love the plot! But, I would of reviewed this book 5 stars if: First, there are a few swear words throughout the book! As a kid, I find it disappointing to find a couple swear words in a kids book! The swear words, (a**, h***,d***) are used very loosely. I mean come on! Adding those swear words do NOT add to the plot and just make the book a 4 star review. Also, as a devoted Christian, I also find it disappointing that the characters say a couple of things ( God knows...., God....). If you are going to buy this book, I would make sure you're fine with a bit of language and some stuff......The plot is lovely, definitely a mystery book. The book definitely makes you think and get engaged. Finished book in 5 days and want the rest of the series. But if you buy this book, be careful of the swear words. I will read this book again....

Amusing and compelling.
Format: Paperback
Stuart Gibb has written a thoroughly engaging and amusing mystery. Setting this series inside an animal park was a brilliant move and it shows. Teddy makes a great detective as well as a smart aleck, Teddy proves to be determined and unwilling to give up. At first he wants the adults to investigate Henry's murder but when the police turn him away, his mother brushes him off, and the park itself covers it up, Teddy decides it's up to him to investigate. He recruits the help of Summer McCraken, the daughter of the owner of FunJungle and together they manage to wreak havoc as they search for the answers that nobody seems to want them to find. I found myself flying through this book once I got started. It's a great mystery with lots of suspects as well as twists and turns that made it unpredictable and delightful to read. I read this aloud to a bunch of classes and they all loved it. Note: there is a mild amount of what many would consider bad language.
