- How To Start Your Flowering Lawn Journey -- No need to remove grass; simply mow existing grass very short, spread the flowering lawn seed evenly, water, and watch it grow!
- Better For Your Family & The Environment -- Purple Prairie Clover is native and supports beneficial pollinators while reducing your property's carbon footprint!
- Reduce Maintenance Costs -- Purple Prairie Clover does not require long-term maintenance. Once it is established, it won't require watering, except in periods of extended drought.
- What To Expect When Using Flawn Seed -- With regular watering, Purple Prairie Clover will germinate in 2-3 weeks, and plants will be small for the first couple of months. After the first growing season, it will bloom purple cone shaped flowers about 12-24” in the middle of summer creating a vital nectar and pollen source for our friendly pollinators. Watering regularly after seeding and through dry periods is recommended for success.
- Pure Flower Seeds -- Unlike other brands, Flawn Seed doesn't use fillers. Flowering seeds have longer germination periods and mature slower than grasses. Mature flowering plants with many blooms can take up to 6-24 months to fully establish, especially in tougher growing environments.
Seeding Information:
When to Seed: Spring, late summer, or early fall when rains are frequent and temperatures are moderate. Do not seed if a frost is forecast. Can also be dormant seeded on frozen ground.
Site Preparation: Mow at .5-1", remove clippings and rake any additional thatch. The soil must be visible and loosened up before seeding or seed will likely not grow.
Watering: Lightly water after seeding to start germination process. Prevent soil from completely drying out for a period of 1-2 weeks, then water as needed if seedlings start wilting.
Mowing: Maintain a height of 3" for the first year. This prevents the grass and any weeds from crowding out the baby Flawn seedlings.
Fertilizer: For lawns that have not been fertilized recently it may be beneficial to apply a low nitrogen organic fertilizer 2-3 months after seeding such as a 8-0-4 or similar.
Weed Control: It is best to remove excessive weeds by hand or natural methods before seeding. After seeding, remove unwanted weeds as desired. WARNING: Do not broadcast apply weed killers as they will kill the plants.

This chew toy is great for aggressive chewers—it’s very durable and holds up much longer than most other toys we’ve tried. The ring shape makes it easy for dogs to grip and carry, and my dog was immediately interested in it, likely because of the real bacon flavor. It’s also a nice bonus that it’s made in the USA and doesn’t have a strong smell for humans.
That said, it is very hard, so I’d recommend keeping an eye on your dog while they’re using it, especially if they’re an intense chewer. Over time, it does wear down and needs to be replaced once the edges get rough.
Overall: a long-lasting, high-quality chew that keeps dogs occupied—just be mindful of the hardness and monitor for wear.

Long lasting chew toy!

All I can say is wow! I have a Basset Hound mix who will be in the puppy stage for another year, and as we all know, that means dealing with teething issues. Seeing the photo of this product when it was new makes it obvious what he’s done to it. He’s still at it, chewing like mad. Made for medium to large dogs, he happily totes it around everywhere, and I’m always picking it up so I don’t trip over it.
The inner cup can hold peanut butter as a special treat for your pet, and I give him some when he’s feeling a bit bored. It doesn’t last long, but he’ll keep chewing on it for a while afterward. For me, the value is worth the price if it keeps his teeth off my furniture—pet owners know exactly what I mean.

All 3 Dogs Want The Benebone Ring Now

Rescued an Old English Sheepdog and after about 2 weeks, he started chewing things in the house. We knew he enjoyed chewing sticks in the backyard, but chewing things in the house was a no go. Purchased this Benebone Ring (bacon) hoping it would help to curb some of the issues we were having. I am happy to report that so far, after 3-4 weeks of him having the Benebone Ring, he has not chewed a single thing inside the house. He loves this ring and carries it in and out during the day so that he has it with him. The only problem we ran into was our other 2 dogs ALSO wanted the Benebone Ring. While they are not big chewers, suddenly this toy became the must have item in the house. So of course, we had to get more.
Highly recommend this chew toy as it is not only durable, it appears to be highly desirable. Keep in mind however that this toy is heavy. So when your dog decides to drop it on your hardwood floors, you WILL hear it in every room in the house!!

My babies love their Benebones!

My one-year old pittie is 60lbs and has severe allergies to EVERYTHING, she's on medicated food and all the crazy things, and so I was trying to find something that wouldn't mess up her regimen by her ingesting it. This is PERFECT. She loves her medium sized Benebone! She carries it everywhere haha. I have three other big dogs, and got the largest one for my 110lb German Shepherd and she also loves it. I keep an eye on the edges and sand them down if I find anything sharp.
These things are TOUGH. My pitbull can eat a massive bully stick in less than ten minutes, and she's barely made a dent in this thing! My GSD is a little more delicate and likes to savor and enjoy her toys, so hers isn't progressing as fast. She eats Yak Chews in around 30 minutes (and those things are like concrete!)
I think these will easily last a month, possibly more, and for the price you can't beat it. The value is insane. I spend maybe 200$ a month on rawhide alternatives and bully sticks and yak chews for them, and these 14$ things last infinitely longer. BTW these things hurt like a mother trucker when you step on them, so keep an eye on where they are haha they're big and heavy!
