Notes
Assembly instructions (torch method):
- Insert the blunt end of the stem into the long end of the barrel, leaving the point of the stem exposed.
- Slide the spring onto the blunt end of the stem now inside the barrel, pushing the spring into the barrel.
- Apply soft solder paste or liquid flux and a small plug of tin solder to the open end of the sleeve.
- Slide the sleeve over the stud stem and apply the necessary heat — take care to avoid overheating, which can damage the spring.
