Absolutely breathtaking, completely gorgeous, and incredibly rare vintage Valentino Alta Moda/Haute Couture gown from Fall/Winter 1987, shown here documented in Vogue Italia, September 1987 editorial "L'Esilità Della Vita". This other-wordly dress is a total dream. Drop waist, heavily pleated silk chiffon bodice against semi-sheer silk lining that forms the body magically. Sheer upper back, with snaps at neck that leave a keyhole slit between the shoulders. Large, voluminous sheer lace sleeves with fitted cuffs that zip closed. Asymmetric, very full skirt bottom comprised of sheer black lace and layered with structured mesh for volume. Zip closure at backside. A once in a lifetime piece and a museum worthy beauty.
