This vintage 1950s cream lace dress is so wonderfully feminine— it reminds me of something Brigitte Bardot would have worn in the 1950s! It is such a chic vintage bridal option, but would really fit a range of occasions. The construction of this dress actually left me speechless— it's so beautifully made! It's giving Dior's New Look, with the sculpted bodice and full skirt creating a flattering hourglass shape— I love the way the piping under the busts heightens this effect, and also seamlessly incorporates the bow details. The side panels of skirt (which give it the great volume) are the same piece as the lower bodice. The waist is ever so slightly dropped. The bateau neckline is so elegant and flattering— in this 1950s, this exaggerated bateau was referred to as a "Sabrina" neckline, named for the neckline made famous by Audrey Hepburn in 1954's Sabrina. Edith Head won an Academy Award for the movie's costume design in 1955.

There is a petticoat sewn into the skirt to bolster the voluminous shape— this is a really important detail, as 1950s fit and flare dresses were designed to be worn with petticoats underneath, but in most cases they don't come with one. (Back in the day, an entire wardrobe of petticoats was common!). Obviously, you will see many contemporary dresses drawing inspiration from this classic 1950s silhouette, but they truly can't hold a candle to the original, because the construction and workmanship that went into making these vintage dresses creates an unparalleled fit— modern dresses just don't have it!

It is pictured here both with AND without a crinoline petticoat underneath— I personally love the look of a little tulle peeking out from under, and it adds fullness to the shape of the skirt, but it's beautiful both ways. (Please contact me if you would like to purchase a petticoat.)

The 1950s AURORA BOREALIS STARBURST EARRINGS pictured are also available.

Hospitality is the Most Important Thing
Format: Hardcover
The author does an excellent job making a case for how important and underrated hospitality is to a hurting world. She captures my attention instantly with her story about her neighbor Hank. She leaves me hanging through a couple of chapters before I get more details about his story. I almost put down the book permanently when she gets on her high religious horse. I suspect she and I would disagree about some of our theology. And I didn't need to be persuaded, so those chapters weren't written for me. If you skim (or skip) that beginning section, it's well worth the practical ideas for how to open up your own home and life in hospitality. A great challenge that I shall take up. May all our neighbors become friends and our friends become family.

Didn't Notice Difference
The taste is actually pretty good, honestly it's more like a treat than a supplement... but I haven't noticed any significant changes after going through the entire bottle. They didn't cause any upset stomach or side effects, which is a plus, but the overall benefits feel negligible.

GREAT CONCEPT AND DESIGN
I bought these Feminine Balance Gummies because I was intrigued by the approach that was utilized. For me, I have been involved with lactobacillus formulas and probiotics with incorporating yogurt (the really healthy kind not the ones with a lot of advertising) to deal with yeast overgrowth. Typically I am experiencing a problem because I am consuming too much sugary foods (causing the body's resources to be depleted) or because I have taken a course of antibotics which killed both the good and bad bacteria in the body and now needs replenished. So, my first impression was the intrigued by the use of Pineapple as a part of the formulation, which is unusual but a good choice nonetheless because it is very beneficial for digestion and also for pain reduction. I liked the taste of the gummy, it tasted like Pineapple candy. The inclusion of Vitamin C seemed a bit of a stretch and is included to enhance the immune function. There are lactobacillus strains but the manufacturer has kept the strains used as a proprietary secret - which I find a bit frustrating as a consumer. Whatever it is, there is a billion of them (is this per gummie?). The manufacturer does support the use of vegan only products, it is also "clean" Halal, it is gluten free and allergen free. So, it appears they have carefully considered the inclusion of each ingredient for benefit. So here is the real test, yes, I have had the desired outcome by improving my "lady garden" and this is a very viable product in my opinion. I would recommend it to others.
