All of the features of a high end aluminum pedal are there: re-buildability, replaceable pins, grippy, big platform, sealed bearings. Of the nylon pedals out there, these are our favorite.

The Deity Deftrap is huge, has a beefy axle, lots of traction pins, decently sized bearings and a big, big bushing. When you are riding them, you can't tell the pedal body is plastic. Technically, it's plastic reinforced with fiberglass. That makes it stiffer than a simple plastic pedal. Some nylon pedal proponents also tout the slippery-ness of plastic. The idea is this: the traction pins dig into your shoe, so no slipping there, but when the pedal hits a rock or log, it slides rather than bites. I don't fully buy that, as I'd assume the traction pins would dig into said surface, but maybe in some cases it's true.
