Later flashable ECU models have part number beginning NNN. Fuel maps are set to suit the level of modification and customer requirement with bespoke maps developed with TD5 Inside to compliment Allisport performance products.  Tune is matched to the vehicle modifications - when tuning we suggest at a minimum an improved exhaust manifold and EGR bypass for cooler and cleaner engine operation, ideally with an uprated intercooler and radiator flush or improved unit installed.

General Tune Configurations:

Stage 1 - a mild tune where no other modifications have been made to the car - around 150hp, improved response and flexibility, reduced noise

Stage 2 - in conjunction with uprated intercooler and EGR delete  - around 175hp, improved drivability combined with improved economy - Ideal for general use and towing

Stage 3 - modified cars - around 200hp, VVT/VNT + turbo, performance intake and exhaust system, uprated intercooler, uprated radiator, boost box.

Stage 4 - Race tune - highly modified competition cars up to 250hp!

There are a few options for NNN ECU remapping services:

DEFENDERS NORTHWEST In-Shop Service -

We undertake basic checks prior to tuning so we can advise of anything likely to impact performance.  We then read and modify the ECU program, rewrite to the car and test.  Average lead time for appointments is 1-2 weeks, and please allow around 3-4 hours of time with the vehicle in shop for service.

Mail-in service

Carefully pack, insure, and ship your NNN ECU for us to program, allow 1-2 weeks turnaround.  For faster service purchase a "drop-in" replacement ECU with tuned file (subject to availability)

It is essential the vehicle is 100% healthy and has been well maintained to provide optimum performance. We would expect regular servicing, clean air filter, non restrictive air intake and exhaust etc.  We strongly advise installing an uprated intercooler to prolong engine life and improve performance.
