Dieses Ionosphere basiert auf Snugpaks beliebtem Journey Solo Tent und spart durch die Verwendung leichterer Funktionsstoffe und den Ersatz der beiden Stangen durch Versionen aus eloxiertem DAC-Aluminium noch mehr Gewicht.

Wie sein schwererer Bruder besteht dieser Unterschlupf aus zwei Teilen. Das Innenzelt wird zuerst aufgebaut und bildet ein freistehendes Moskitonetz mit Schlaufen, perfekt für trockene, warme Nächte, während das separate wasserdichte Außenzelt über die an den Stangen angebrachten Klettschlaufen am Innenzelt befestigt werden kann.

Sowohl das Innenzelt als auch das Außenzelt verfügen über Reißverschlüsse, die sich für einen einfacheren Zugang aufrollen lassen, und bieten dank der zehn Netztaschen viel Stauraum im Inneren.

Um die Wasserdichtigkeit zu gewährleisten, sind alle wasserführenden Nähte mit Klebeband versehen. Die integrierte Bodenplane im Badewannen-Stil bietet zudem Schutz vor eindringender Feuchtigkeit auf nassem Untergrund.
