The advantages to the ripstop fabric is that there is a high strength-to weight ratio and if you get a puncture it is highly unlikely that it will continue to tear.

This tarp is manufactured out of premium light weight 11oz vinyl and is made right over the border in Mexico. The hems are very tediously stitched with the thickest thread. Our seams heat bonded and sealed to reinforce the tight seal needed to keep you on the road and your cargo delivered.

All the rows of the D-Rings are sewn in on seat belt webbing to give it the strength you need for the tie downs it will endure.

Since this is a light-weight tarp, you will have to take more care in protecting your tarp from ripping and be sure to use corner protectors, moving blankets, etc while covering your cargo with these RipSTOP tarps.
